know them, and what you do not know, you will fear. What one fears, one destroys." --Chief Dan George

:Akela Award

Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary, with approval from the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, is making available the Akela Award for Cub Scouts.

Sessions are held on designated Saturdays at the Sanctuary beginning promptly at 9 am with a flag ceremony and ending at 11am.

There is no rain date for any session. SFWS has a covered area within view of the wolves that will be utilized in the event of inclement weather.

Sessions are limited to 20 Scouts. Group Leader attendance is required.
Scouts may bring a snack/drink and will be expected to clean up their area afterward.

This is an exciting opportunity to earn a badge within the sight and sound of real wolves and wolf dogs. It is a rare opportunity not available to many Scout groups.
Come share that time with us and pass the word along.

Should immediate family members want to attend with the participant there will be a donation of $5.00 per person.
